Watercan’s Walk For Water ~ Flow Photo

Last week Flow Photo was asked to document the Aveda Walk For Water. Collega along with all the Civello Salons have helped to raise thousands of dollars over the years in support of WaterCan. Every $25 raised provides clean water for one person for life. I love this charity! This year over 300 participants walked 6 km which is the average distance those without water in Africa must walk daily to obtain clean water. The walkers were blessed with clear skies and great walking weather!

Snapshot Photobooth helps raise money for We Are Water Warriors

Last weekend the Snapshot Photobooth had the distinct pleasure of working with Darlene Paguandas and Toni Ronayne. Their chic Water Warrior fundraising event was held at Relative Space to benefit the Walk for Water initiative. Every year during Earth Month Aveda along with the Civello Salons raise money for WaterCan through various efforts.

Darlene and Toni became friends through the Aveda Earth Month initiatives about 2 years ago – a little friendly competition at first and a desire to fundraise and share ideas about how to raise more money. Both ladies were top funraisers in 2008 and 2009 and were awarded Study Tour trips to Africa from Collega. The trip made a lasting impression on both Darlene and Toni and they decided to increase their involvement with WaterCan. This was their inaugural event and they raised over $14,000!

Flow Photo covered the Aveda Walk For Water event last year which was a tremendous success. This years Walk for Water takes place on April 27, 2011 across Canada – pledge a walker today and make a difference in someones life.

Civello Eco Chic Wedding Event ~ Flow Photo

Civello Rosedale hosted an excellent Eco Wedding Event last week featuring the beautiful gowns of Adele Weschler along with yummy cupcakes from Cupcaketionary!

I had a chance to catch some of the behind the scenes hair and make up before the show:

Adele’s designs were simply fabulous very “Eco Chic” for the bride who cares about the world she lives in.

After the show I had a chance to photograph some posed shots of the models, here are some of my favs:

Femmes du Feu Fundraiser

Last night Femmes du Feu treated everyone who came out to their fundraiser to a sneak peek of their upcoming show entitled “The Plank”. If you haven’t guessed yet the show takes place on a ship and has a nautical theme. The fundraiser to benefit their upcoming Fringe Festival tour of Toronto, London and Winnipeg was appropriately pirate themed. Almost everyone showed up as their favourite pirate or sexy sailor. Of course this made for an awesome Snapshot Photobooth.
